February 3, 2019, is not only the date for the football Super Bowl, it’s also the Silverside Souper Bowl! Once again the Outreach Board has decided to share our Souper Bowl collection with Friendship House, the transitional housing program in New Castle County for homeless and displaced persons who want to change their lives for the better.
If you’d like to contribute to the Souper Bowl, bring cash or checks on Sunday, February 3, and drop them in the big soup pot. Checks should be made out to Silverside Church with Souper Bowl or Friendship House noted on the front.
Members and friends who will be unable to attend our February 3 Gathering and our away from Wilmington friends (established and new!) can mail checks to the church office (2800 Silverside Rd., Wilmington, DE 19810) or contribute through the app (Silverside Church, Apple Store or Google Play) designating “special contribution” from the options list.
Mary Lew Bergman, Chair, Board of Outreach, Silverside Church
